  • Wrote press releases and feature articles about new research from hundreds of faculty members.

  • Built and maintained relationships with local, national and international journalists, facilitating news coverage and arranging logistics of campus media visits.

  • First editor of Seed Media Group’s most widely read content platform, coordinated content strategy for more than 50 bloggers.

  • Launched partnership program with research institutions, including the Weizmann Institute, Brookhaven National Laboratory and the SETI Institute.

  • After print magazine ceased publication, promoted to top-level editorial role on website.

  • Lead other members of editorial team, developed content ideas and strategy and was responsible for the final edits on all SeedMagazine.com content.

Senior Associate Editor, Seed Magazine (8/08 – 4/09)

  • Editor of “Notebook” section, which featured several regular columns as well as reported articles.

  • Researched, reported, and wrote supplemental content, including sidebars, infographics, and short articles, for each issue. Worked with design staff in implementing said content.

  • Worked with editorial staff to build webpages and online-only content.

  • Analyzed traffic statistics to promote content and improve site usability.
